I had trouble sleeping
When you appeared in front of me
Like you just knew I needed you
And there you were
To keep me company.
I just want to thank you
For the sympathetic ear
As you listened to
The anxieties that plagued me
And telling me there’s nothing to fear.
You are my person
Of that I am sure
By the way you calm my senses
With just a smile
You make me feel secure
I wish you could stay
And help me get through the day
But I know this dream will end
For morning will come
