Red as blood, you raise your delicate head
So stunning and picturesque.
With robes of luscious green
And a poise so slender and lean,
I marvel at your magnificence.
But sadness overcomes me,
For I see you slipping away slowly
As you dance to the serenades of the wind
While it strips you of your scarlet beauty.
Leaving me longing to see more of your crimson radiance.
I was thinking the same thing the other day – they just went so fast even before I could capture a picture of them. Nice tribute.
Thank you. These peonies are always the star in our garden, but it’s just so sad that they go so fast.

Such a beautiful color. Sorry the wind is taking them away. It is always sad to see the flowers go away. Hugs
We only have like a couple of days to appreciate them.
